Quick FAQ
Q: What’s the difference between Standard IndestructaWires and Shielded IndestructaWires?
Standard IndestructaWires: Built tough with your choice of ultra-low resistance (0 Ω) or suppression (500 Ω/ft) cores. They deliver reliable spark energy and durability far beyond ordinary aftermarket sets.
Shielded IndestructaWires: Everything Standard offers, plus a 95%+ copper braid shield grounded to chassis. This gives near-0 Ω spark delivery and industry-leading EMI/RFI containment of around 1000x (noise reduction), keeping radios, EFI, and comms crystal clear even in harsh conditions.
Q: Why add shielding to ignition wires?
Ignition leads naturally act like antennas, throwing electrical noise into nearby electronics. Suppression cores reduce it, but true shielding stops it cold. Shielded IndestructaWires combine max spark energy with near-total noise elimination — perfect for EFI swaps, sensitive radios, and demanding off-road rig systems. These systems also really shine when off-roaders in remote environments are "noising up" other group members comm systems and equipment and therefore need stellar noise protection.
Q: How long do IndestructaWires last compared to ordinary wires?
Both Standard and Shielded sets are designed as lifetime hardware, not consumables. Fiberglass or silicone-glass jackets shrug off constant header heat, silicone or ceramic boots resist burning, and reinforced ferrules prevent strain failures. Every set is continuity-tested and backed by a multi-year warranty (3 years Standard, 5 years Shielded).
